How do people write in blogs? Is there a protocol or a Dummies Guide that I can read? I feel a bit lost in all of this. Regardless of form, I'm moving to Europe and this is my blog!
As good a place to start as any would be to ask why?? Why are you moving to Europe Vanessa? No i'm not running away from anything nor am I adopting fugitive status or escaping the tax man. I'm going back to school! Back to school in the land of rain and beer. Luckily for me, someone was sleeping on the job and let me in to the University of Glasgow so that I may attempt my Masters of English Literature. It's a nice opportunity really, being able to live your dreams. Certainly something that I won't take for granted.
Before my grand scale adventure begins I'm to travel Europe with my best friend Laura. I've been to continental Europe twice now, this trip with Laura being my third visit, and it's a different experience every time. I've found, like most have, that it's the people that make the place and I can't wait to share these places with Laura. We're keeping it simple with a "Greatest Hits" version of Europe in which we'll visit Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Nice, Monaco, Rome, Venice and end in Amsterdam. A few of my favorite people from my time in Aberdeen (and Chicago) will be meeting us in Amsterdam for our four nights there. Jenny, my adorable American girlfriend fom Illinois, will be flying over with Harry, the London gentleman as I call him. Declan and Mark (the Irish cousins) will be flying in as well for the weekend and it should be a riot.
In the mean time I find myself at my parents' house in Kelowna sorting through boxes and getting organized. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to spend my last couple weeks in Canada. While I miss my friends back in Calgary it's great to be around my family again. It's great to see Gus! I will attempt to attach a couple snaps of Kelowna...
I'm off to sort boxes and compartmentalize my life...(not sure who I'm talking to when I say these things...cyberspace surely).
